Published Work

I am a freelance travel writer based in Seattle whose work has been published in both online and print media.

My manuscript "A Journey That Changed Lives" took 9th place honors in the Magazine Features category of the 2009 Writer’s Digest Competition, one of the largest writing contests in the nation.  Go Nomad.com recognized the piece I wrote about Laos (see #4 below) as one of the Top 10 travel stories of 2009.

Below are some samples of my recently published work.  I also write the Get Outside Yourself adventure and volunteer travel blog for the Seattle PI online newspaper.  To view pictures from my travels, please visit the PHOTO GALLERY
